The Wetzel County Center for Children and Families offers a fun and engaging way for youngsters and their parents to meet and play together through our Playgroup program. Held on each Friday from 10-11:30am, this is a fantastic way for children to learn how to interact with other children in a safe and supervised area. Creating friendships before their first days of school can help ease their anxiety and help improve their experience.
Our “Big Room Play Area” is inside the New Martinsville Center and is climate controlled. There are lots of engaging toys in the space, and most of the floor is a soft rubber material to protect youngsters from tumbles and falls while playing. We also rent the “Big Room Play Area” for birthday parties and other special events where kids would enjoy having an indoor play area.
Playgroup is offered free of charge every Friday from 10-11:30am.
Parents, babysitters, grandparents etc. are invited to stay and enjoy the fun!
